I came home from work around 30 minutes ago. I’ve been working late at the office since last week to meet the deadline for our project. I was tasked to do the interior elevations while my other officemate handled the architectural drawings.

So this is how it feels. It’s rather tiring to be in production. I feel physically drained, yet I feel I have no right to complain because my partner in this project works twice as I do. I feel a bit sorry because he has no choice but to take on the responsibility, because he was entrusted with a larger share of the responsibility pie.

If ever, this would be my first time to create working drawings for a firm…you know, with my initials on the title block. Hehe, babaw ko ‘no? Dami kong pinasukang firms just to achieve that.^^;; Although I’ve mostly produced ID drawings, I know that soon, I’ll get to do bay sections and other stuff….and go beyond the draftsman stage. But at this point, I’m happy that I’m learning from the best, and I like the work environment.

I was supposed to share this last week, but anyway, I’ll write about it as well. Last week, my friends brought me to the fire exit of the building where we work. We rode one of the elevators that only went up to the floor just below us, and then entered the fire exit.

I like the fire exit! The fire exit was located at the corner of the building, and the building had curtain walls at the corners. The stairs seemed to be floating since it was white and had no solid walls on its sides. Since two of its sides had walls made from glass, light filtered in and enveloped the stairwell. Our floor was located at the second to the topmost floor of the building, so from our vantage point, we could see the nearby areas. The commercial center in Makati could easily be seen from the fire exit, as well as the rising TRAG (The Residences @ Greenbelt) and the neighboring hotel’s swimming pool.^^;; It was really cool! It’s the best fire exit I’ve ever seen.
