TWIN PEAKS NOSTALGIA. [Well...to start off, I am just exploring stuff again on the net after being away from it for several days...computer acted up, I guess.]

Back to Twin Peaks. Anyway, the show really fascinated me when I was a young girl. (my tastes run to the bizarre even then) Julee Cruise's haunting song 'Falling' suddenly entered my mind (don't ask why, it just did) when I was downloading songs for my cousin, and I decided to download it to.

Gee, haunting. The song haunted me then and now it still does. It was really a shame that I never got to really follow the series when it was shown like, a decade ago. All the power blackouts back then in the early nineties made tv viewing next to impossible. All I knew was that a young lady named Laura Palmer was killed and everyone in town is trying to second guess who did it. Anyway, in the end it was found out that her dad killed her.

Oh well, trying to find out who did would be just as exciting as actually finding out who did it. And this is the main storyline of Twin Peaks - exposing the ways (and skeletons) of a small town, and unlearning its secrets.

Back then, I was too young to really understand the details of each episode...I really wish I could watch it again now, now that I'm older. Do they have reruns on tapes? It's kinda frustrating trying to follow the synopsis without actually watching it.

I visited Alena's website on Twin Peaks and found a very informative site. (You can tell it reached cult status.)

Channel 2, would you be willing to lend me tapes? Please?

CULINARY GENIUS. Today is such a monumental day for me... I finally got around to making my very first spaghetti dish -- tell me, am I AMAZING or not? (Tee hee) Anyway, I was supposed to cook spaghetti last November, on my birthday, but I never got around to doing it. It's only now that I had the free time in the world and enough initiative (hey, it's Christmas) to do it, so I indulged.
For today though, I only made the pasta and cheese sauce. Tomorrow I would cook the noodles.

BUMMING AND ALL THAT ROT. Now that I have so much free time on my hands, I just spent it on bumming. Great.
Earlier, I was supposed to go the C3 convention in Megamall, (C3 is a comics convention sponsored by my fave pinoy manga, Culture Crash Comics) but I just didn't feel well when I woke up. Besides, I wouldn't be there in time to get a free Tammy, so what's the use? Sigh...I just cleaned some of the mess in my room.

I opened the PC to discover more about Adobe Premiere and Flash...I still couldn't get it! Groan.

And there is still no movement on my network. Another groan.

Oh well, at least I have more time to groan about it.

HPAIR AND OTHER THINGS One of my close friends forwarded an email regarding the upcoming HPair convention for next year, an event he attended himself this year, and next year it would be in Seoul, South Korea. Instant reaction: I WANNA GO! The convention sounds really interesting, and it might broaden my horizons in the sense that it would put some stuff other than architecture into my head. But... sniff, sniff, next year would be thesis year. Aside from financial costs... that got me thinking, COULD I REALLY AFFORD TO GO AWAY? (even for just 4 days) Could I spare some time away from thesis, to concentrate on stuff that aren't thesis-related?

It is a thought. I need to know whether this trip would really be worth it.

Belated entry: I watched the premier of 'The Two Towers'...woohoo, super amazing! I can't believe I watched it in advance. I love the battle scene in Helm's Deep-but dang!, I just about missed the part whether all of the elves lined up with their bows (or the part where they came to the aid of the men of Rohan) - had to text people about school stuff!=P

Anyway, I owe this wonderful experience to Victor...woohoo, thanks!

COUSIN THEA'S BIRTHDAY. I just remembered that today's Thea's birthday, but I am currently using the phone line right now and so I can't call her. Hehe.

Again, this is yet another day in my oh-so-roller coaster life lately. This time I am happy, since things seem to be looking up for the business. I could only pray that all of these good things that have been happening lately would be the start of something really good. Just a couple of days ago, I was moping since I felt that the actual Christmas that would be coming would see me with such a big hole in the pocket, but now...well, I better stop. I certainly don't want to count my chicks before they hatch.

Aside from business problems, nothing really much has been occupying my mind, not even org or acad stuff. Medyo vacation mode na rin naman brain ko - at least when it comes to school matters.

All I really want to do right now is to recover my investment.

Geez, I don't make sense in this anymore.

LOST IN SPACE. It's amazing how a week passes without you realizing it. It's even more astounding to learn that a month has passed right before your very eyes. To record, November must be the shortest month this year. Must be all that's been happening...I mean, November is usually the month when you spend a couple of days resting, then registering for the next sem, then first few weeks of school.

And this particular November has been short of adventures. It's the first time I really got into a business, and it came right at the beginning of November. A month has passed, and though I couldn't say that I made much in terms of money, I gained a lot in terms of experience. But I still am not in the position to tell whether everything was worth it. I still have to wait and see what would happen.

In the meantime, I'm just here, almost short of simply staring in front of the computer. I could have started with design but I just feel so... blank.

Anyway, I and my design groupmates would be going back to Manila to take some pictures for our project. This should be fun.
